Web Design
Since the early days of the web, SEO companies and design firms have typically had different capabilities and different priorities; where SEO firms have traditionally focused on achieving page placements design firms have prioritized the visual elements of a website (look, feel, color scheme, messaging, branding etc). This division is akin to the differences of mindset and skill set between an interior designer and a structural engineer – both concerned with the integrity of a building, but with different agendas. This divorce was not sustainable, and now most web marketing firms attempt to do both.
The DNA of our company reveals that we are first and foremost an SEO company. We have traveled a great distance since our early days, when we didn’t really care how a website looked as long as it ranked well. We have come to embrace the fact that design is a critical element in the “gestalt” (to get a little heady) of conversion. We believe that “great looking websites” and “high ranking websites” are two sides of the same coin.
Over the years, we have tested layouts and conversion principles and we believe we have a working model designed to effectively communicate a companies story to various buying personalities. That said, we try to keep it simple. We are pragmatists when it comes to design. Our priority is not to engage in 6 month design discoveries but rather to create websites that tell our clients’ stories in the strongest possible terms. Our goal for each client is to make them the obvious choice both in terms of placements and design.
Examples of our work can be viewed in our portfolio.
